Casino Bonuses Ireland — Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about the offers compared on this site — Casinova, Cleobetra, Kingmaker, BetRepublic and Betwest — covering wagering, betting limits, licensing and where Irish players can get help. For the full bonus terms of a specific casino, always check that casino's own promotions page before you play.
Do the casinos on this list offer no deposit bonuses?
No. None of the five casinos compared on this site — Casinova, Cleobetra, Kingmaker, BetRepublic and Betwest — has a no deposit bonus in our comparison; their offers are deposit-triggered. Standalone zero-deposit offers exist elsewhere in the market and work the same way once claimed: a wagering requirement still applies before any winnings can be withdrawn. Check each casino's own promotions page for current terms.
How is the wagering requirement actually calculated?
All five casinos we compare set a 35x wagering requirement. If a free spins round pays out €10 in bonus winnings, you need to wager €350 in total before that amount converts into cash you can withdraw. Slots normally count 100% toward this target, while live-dealer tables and some high-RTP slots count for less, or not at all — so check the eligible-games list before you start playing.
Are there betting or cash-out limits while I'm clearing a bonus?
Yes, two limits usually apply: a maximum stake while a bonus is active, and a cap on bonus winnings before they convert to cash. Both figures differ between promotions, so check them in the promotion's own terms first. Betting above the stake limit or exceeding the cap can void the bonus and its winnings.
Are Anjouan- and Curaçao-licensed casinos legal for players in Ireland, and who protects me?
Yes. Ireland's own regulator, the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI), was only established in 2024, and four of the five casinos we tested currently operate under Anjouan or Curaçao licences instead; Betwest publishes no gaming licence. Those licensors run their own ADR dispute processes, so if a casino refuses a fair payout, your first step is a complaint to the licensing authority named in that casino's footer — not to GRAI directly.
How can I check that a casino's licence is genuine before I sign up?
Look for a licence number in the casino's footer and cross-check it against the regulator's own public register. Cleobetra, for instance, holds an Anjouan Licence; compare the licence details it shows with the licensing authority's own public pages. A missing licence number, or one that doesn't match the named operator, is one of the clearest red flags we track when reviewing a site.
Which payment methods and minimum deposits apply to the casinos you compare?
Visa, Mastercard, Skrill and Neteller are accepted by all five casinos we compare, and all five also take Bitcoin and Ethereum, while ecoPayz and bank transfer are offered by most of them. Minimum deposits start at €10 at Cleobetra and BetRepublic, rise to €20 at Casinova and Kingmaker, and are €20 at Betwest. E-wallets and crypto are usually the fastest to clear withdrawals: within 0–48 hours at four of the casinos and 0–24 hours at Betwest.
Can I play from my phone, or do I need to download an app?
No download is required. All five casinos in our comparison run instant-play in a mobile browser on iOS and Android, and your account, bonus balance and wagering progress carry over whether you switch between desktop and mobile mid-session. A couple of the operators also offer a dedicated app, but it's optional rather than necessary to claim or clear a bonus.
